Pageant Registration:  Sunday, September 11, 2011 - Helen Jenkins Chapel
(across from Thorsby High School)
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

ENTRY FEE:  $55.00 (includes Photogenic for Tiny, Little, Young, Junior & Miss Categories)

Contestants are required to submit 2 wallet size photos (head shot) of same pose at registration.  Photo must have been taken within the year.  Please put name and age, and sponsor if applicable on the back of each photo.

Deadline to enter Baby Miss Photogenic Competition - September 11, 2011

Photos submitted will appear in the 2011 Swedish Fest Program.  Judges will select one winner.  The Baby Miss Photogenic winner will be announced at Monday's Oct. 10 Pageant, and will be introduced with the 2011 Swedish Fest Queens at the 2011 Swedish Fest in Richard H. Wood Memorial Park on Saturday, Oct. 15.

PAGEANT SCHEDULE

Monday, October 10 Contestants:  Baby Miss Photogenic announced (age 0-24 months), Tiny (age 2-4), Little (age 5-7)

Tuesday, October 11 Contestants:  Young (age 8-11), Junior (age 12-15), Miss (age 16-19)

Location:  Thorsby High School Auditorium, Thorsby, Alabama

Time:  6:00 pm each evening

PAGEANT INFORMATION

Dress:  Pageant Gown

Practice:  Saturday, October 8 - Thorsby High School Auditorium
Miss 9-11am, Tiny-11am, Little-12pm, Young-1pm, Junior 2-3:30pm

There will be a Queen and 4 alternates for pageant divisions and 1 photogenic winner.

Contestants must be in their designated dressing room and completely ready by 5:50 pm.

Queens will ride in Thorsby's Swedish Fest Parade on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 on a furnished float.
Alternates are welcome to be in parade, but must furnish their own ride.  Queens will wear evening gowns in parade with sash and crown.  Queens will be introduced at the Swedish Fest during the opening ceremonies at Richard M. Wood Memorial Park following the parade.

Queens will be required to make several appearances throughout the year.

Queens in each division will receive a monogrammed sash, sceptor, rhinestone crown pin, flowers and beautiful crown.  A picture of all Queens will be displayed at Thorsby's Town Hall.
The 2011 Miss Swedish Fest Queen will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00.
Alternates will receive a rhinestone pin with sash, and flowers.
Photogenic Winners will receive a rhinestone pin with sash and a beautiful plaque.

2010 Swedish Fest Queens are not eligible to compete in 2011 pageant.

Admission at the door each pageant night will be $5.00 per person.
